Darasum is a huge continent that rests in the northern hemisphere, it's name roughly translates to "eternal".

-In the center part there is mild climate, ranging from forests and mountains to plains, this region is Kotal-din, Kotepia is the capital city.
-The southern part of Darasum are named the Munit Plains meaning roughly 'long plains', there are a few tribes of Ijaat-Adate, or Elves, that live in relative peace there.
-In the west are the Chavlarus Mountains, faintly inhabited by Chavlan Dwarves, they take advantage of their surroundings by mining the glorious metals in the rock.
-Up north are the Ciyrcin Tundras, where many Norse tribes make their home.
-In the east, it is much hotter than the rest of the continent where the Burenar Deserts are, there are very few large cities but they make there way.
-Axony is the north western region and is titled after the kingdom that once ruled all the area, but is now home to many kingdoms of men. Generally it is wet and partly wooded, and inhabitted by the proudest and strongest of men.
-Pyrdain is a name used for the chain of islands off the coast of Axony and the mountains, they used to be home to a influencial kingdom but now the civilization has crumbled into tribes.

Darasum by region Empty The City of Kotepia

Post  Caleb Ilano Sun Aug 08, 2010 10:35 pm

Kotepia was built by some of the first settlers because it was surrounded by some of the easiest agricultural settings. When it rained, it was light, when it shone brightly on hot days, it was mild, and the ground was very fertile. The town would've either become a market town, or become a large city, and it became the latter. Building strong walls in the early years was essential because of the native's distrust of them, they did however become fast allies, with Kotepian citizen's holding strong technology and the natives having great supplies of meats, which was scarce due to sport hunting and poor husbandry. The name Kotepia means 'Brave'. The city was only given this title after it endured the the four Heroes' war. Before it was Kotepia it was simply Cajorad meaning night-voice because of the Gold-Crickets that chirped in the night.

Many people make Kotepia their home, and the marketplace that resides shortly north of the city is a hub of activity for the many travelers that stop there. The citizens of Kotepia are generally a welcoming people but are often thought of as too innocent or ignorant to the rest of the lands. Of course there are many people who know the world well, but most of the people are content to busy themselves with their own matters. The population is also easily qualifiable as a melting pot of many different societies.

Darasum by region Empty The Castle of Kotepia

Post  Caleb Ilano Sun Aug 08, 2010 10:54 pm

The castle was built to expand fortification for the city. It started as a small fort and was expanded into a large castle over time. The reason for expansion was because of the four heroes' war, that was a terrible slaughter of man woman and child.
The castle has evolved over time and is now the castle we know, it is four stories tall.
-On the first floor there is a barracks, a briefing room, a hero's den, and an armory in the back.
-On the second floor there is a kitchen, a dining hall, the servant's quarters and a workshop.
-On the third floor there is the Throne room, royal quarters, an art hall, and a grand library.
-On the fourth floor there is a priest's sanctuary, and a wizard's tower.
